My name is Emily Lurker.  Because of my father’s work my family moved around a lot growing up.  I have lived all over the United States including Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Missouri, Washington, Idaho and most recently Utah.  I graduated in Interior Design from Brigham Young University-Idaho. The University is accredited by CIDA and NKBA.   I am a member of NKBA and ASID.  I am a dedicated student and have maintained a 3.7 GPA while I was at school.  I currently work at Foremost Carpet & Interiors in Salt Lake City doing sales and design.  And having a blast implementing all the knowledge that I learned at school. Learning new things each and everyday.

 

 

I have a passion for perfection and an eye to the details in my designs.  My favorite aspect of the design process is rendering. I love seeing all the design aspects come together.  I also have skills in AutoCAD, Photoshop.  Another aspect of the design process I love is seeing the 3D aspect come together.  I love the hands on and visual aspects of the design.

 

Because of the extensive traveling I did growing up I have come to appreciate the many different aspects of design that are all around us.  I have grown to love the different architectural designs of each area that I lived in.  Each part of the country has a different influence of the different immigrants that came to the different areas.  I love instilling these influences into my designs.  I think outside the box and like to steer away from the traditional square and rectangular designs that we are used to seeing.
